Vision and Culture – Partners In Success

Vision and culture are agents that leaders may use to supercharge their business and underpin its enduring success. Most leaders don’t appreciate the competitive strength that these two agents can bring to a business nor how they must be uniquely tailored to the way their business competes within its chosen marketplace.

Optimising The Competitive Engine In Your Business:

Over this season of December 2019 and January 2020, we are revisiting the elements of the competitive engine that exists in every business and considering how that engine supports a CEO in their role of optimising the performance of their business. Six parts in this series and in each part, we will highlight three articles that focus on a different element of the competitive engine in your business.

Part 4 – A quest worthy of pursuit and a culture that will ensure it is achieved.

I Have A Vision:

I have a vision for my business. It’s where I want to take it to. What I want to see it achieve. What we can become as a business. But no one seems to be buying into it. Is it me, is it them, or is it the vision?

Anchoring Business Culture:

Culture is crafted to make your business who it uniquely needs to be to succeed and is never about self-interest, control or dollars.

Champions Of Success In Your Business:

As a business leader, it is vital that you define success in your business and community so that it lifts the greatest capability of everyone to the forefront in enabling the business, and everyone working with it, to achieve their potential. You need champions of success throughout your business to make this a reality.

A vision is best expressed as a clear image of where a business must move to and is fuelled by a conviction that it is a destination that must be reached. It represents a quest that binds everyone forward in a challenge to overcome what seems impossible. And visions are wrapped in culture, firmly anchored in whom your business needs to be to succeed in delivering on the purpose for which it exists. It is rock solid, clear and lived, but it is always evolving and compounding.
