Often, the floodgates to success can be opened not by pushing harder but by stepping back and removing the barriers that are holding success in abeyance. However, this requires that you know where those barriers may exist.
Winning in business requires capability and commitment. Capability is a skill that can be built, but it alone will not deliver the win. Mental toughness, the way people within your business think and act, is the factor that makes the difference. And that mental toughness has nothing to do with doggedly chasing that extra dollar of profit.
Every business requires the audacious; persons who are willing to put it all on the line, to take those bold risks. Risks which can catapult your business into market positions you never thought possible. It takes a certain type of person who is willing to step over the edge, but it also requires business leaders who know what it takes to make audacious work, and to support them in their quests.
If you want your business to achieve a level of success that you never thought possible, then start by removing the barriers to its success. Those self-imposed impediments that slow down, distract and stop your business from competing to its fullest ability. Then build the mental toughness that will enable it to persevere, endure and overcome all challenges. Finally, free those who can see and are willing to create the new future, the opportunity to do so. And an entirely new level of business performance will emerge.
